Let every mark be present. The face is an archive of the life. Photography might catch a fleeting moment, what we call an “expression,” but we know by now that transient states are always incomplete stories. That transient state moves across the face like the wind moves across water. You can doubt the wind, but you cannot doubt the sea. A face is as changeable but undeniable as the sea.

How curious it is then that cloth begins to resemble skin—or is it that skin begins to resemble cloth?
