All feel but not all inescapably feel deeply. The ability to feel deeply and not escape deep feeling correlates not only with the possibility of being wounded but the near certainty of having already been wounded.

A feature of ineluctable deep feeling is the potential to detect in the sensitive Other both a future woundability and a past or ongoing woundedness.
