Post 1948: In 1948 Kibbutz Tzor‛a was established, partly on village land. Moshavim Maḥsiya and Yish‛i, together with the town of Beit Shemesh, were established on village land in 1950.
Today: Several roofless, collapsing structures remain at the site, which is strewn with rubble and the remains of cisterns and wells. The village site is now within the JNF’s USA Independence Park.
Official Israeli name: None. The former village of Deir ʼAbān does not appear on contemporary maps of Israel.
